This Privacy Policy explains how Shree JagadAnand Trust ("Trust", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information through the Gyankriyabhyam Moxah website and mobile application (together, the "App"). This Policy applies to Students, Parents, Teachers, and Admins, and is written to align with the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

1. Introduction

By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If you are a Parent registering a Student, your acceptance of this Policy also covers the processing of your child's information as set out in Section 3.

2. Information We Collect

We do not knowingly collect payment information, government ID numbers, or precise location data through this App. If this changes, this Policy will be updated accordingly.

3. Children's Data and Parental Consent

• Verifiable parental consent: A Student account may only be created and linked once a Parent has registered and provided consent to the collection and processing of the Student's information.
• Purpose limitation: A Student's activity data is used only to support their religious-activity tracking, progress visibility to their linked Parent and Teacher, and Sangh-level leaderboard participation. It is not used for behavioural tracking, targeted advertising, or profiling of the child for any purpose outside the App.
• Parental access and control: Parents may review, request correction of, or request deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting shreejagadanandtrust@gmail.com. Parents may also withdraw consent, which will result in deactivation of the linked Student account.
• No unsolicited marketing to children: We do not send marketing communications directed at Student accounts.
• Access controls: Teachers and Admins can view Student data only insofar as necessary for their role, scoped to their affiliated Sangh.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage accounts and role-based access (Student, Parent, Teacher, Admin);
• To record and display Panchachar activity participation and progress;
• To operate leaderboard features across participating Ahmedabad Sanghs;
• To allow Parents to monitor their child's participation and Teachers/Admins to support and oversee it;
• To send account-related or activity-related notifications (e.g., reminders, progress summaries);
• To maintain the security, integrity, and proper functioning of the App;
• To respond to support requests and grievances.

5. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell personal information. Information may be visible or shared as follows:

• Within the App, by role: A Student's activity data is visible to their linked Parent, the Teacher(s) at their Sangh, and Sangh/Trust Admins for oversight purposes.
• Service providers: As of the effective date of this Policy, the App does not rely on third-party analytics, advertising, or payment processors. Should this change — for example, if a hosting or infrastructure provider is engaged to run the App's backend — this Policy will be updated to name that provider and describe its role before such sharing begins.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information where required by applicable Indian law, regulation, or a valid order from a competent authority.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and activity information for as long as the account remains active, and for a reasonable period thereafter to allow for historical progress records and Sangh-level reporting, unless a Parent requests earlier deletion of their child's data or a User requests deletion of their own account. Deletion requests are actioned within a reasonable timeframe, subject to any legal retention obligations.

7. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including role-based access controls, so that Users only see data relevant to their role and Sangh — to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No system is completely secure, and we encourage Users to safeguard their own login credentials.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, Users (or, for Students, their Parents) may request to:

• Access the personal information held about them or their child;
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
• Request deletion of their account and associated data;
• Withdraw previously given consent, understanding this may limit or end access to the App;
• Raise a grievance regarding how their information is handled (see Section 10).

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The website may use minimal cookies or local storage strictly necessary for login sessions and basic functionality. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
